Elnora’s Obituary Elnora Cade, 82 passed away peacefully on May 19, 2019 at the Sosin Rehabilitation Center, Longmeadow, MA surrounded by her loving family. Elnora was born on January 25, 1937 in Selma, Alabama to Nora and Willie B. Cade. She became a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church at a very early age where she was a dedicated and faithful servant.

Elnora, lovingly called, “SWEET” by her family and friends, graduated from R.B. Hudson High School. She attended Alabama State University and Selma University, where she earned an Associate Degree. Upon her arrival to Springfield, MA Elnora found employment over the course of several years with Spaulding Sports, Maryann’s Doll Company and several manufacturers.

For the last 47 years until her retirement, Elnora worked for the loving and caring family of Stephen and Georgianne Roberts of Longmeadow, MA. Elnora was a dedicated member and servant of Zion Community Baptist Church where she served as trustee for 32 years on the Missionary, Pastor’s Aide and on the Silver Saints Ministries. She loved Zion, and was one of the church’s founding members.

Elnora was a Life Member for over 35 years of the Elks – Forget Me Not Temple #302 where she developed longtime friends. She is survived by her loving and dedicated sister, Bettye Martin of Springfield, MA; her brothers, Andrew R. Cade (Betty) of Springfield, MA and Rev. Henry Cade (Charlotte) of East Orange, NJ; nieces: Blanche Martin, Danielle R. Smith (Gary), Samantha R. Cade, Nakia Martin-Wright, Charyn Cade and Felicia Mathews; nephews; William Martin, Jr., Jalen Cade-Gill, Carter and Rian Smith.

Elnora will also be missed by her sisters in love, Carol Johnson and Nancy Jones-Callands. Nieces in love, Christine Saunders, Toni Jackson and Diane Davis. Best friends; Shirley Mock, Rebecca Shattuck and Arnita Norris.

Extended families: Ida Ruth Flynn and family: Betty Clemmons and family from Germantown, Maryland: and Edna Burrowes and Family.
