Obituary for Elsie Breault Elsie Hutchison Breault was born February 13, 1936 to David and Charlotte Neddo Hutchison. She was greeted by 7 older siblings, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She grew up used to good, hard work.
She graduated from Raft River High School and then moved to Providence, Utah to go to Utah State University where she majored in Secretarial Science. She worked at Steed’s Ice Cream Parlor and then a restaurant. She also worked the USU switchboard and as a secretary to Dr. Merrill.
After attending USU, she worked 5 years at Thiokol as a secretary in the Engineering Department. She married Boyd Hansen and moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she worked as a legal secretary. While with Boyd, she was blessed with her greatest treasures, her 3 wonderful sons.
Her happiest times as a mother were camping with her sons in Logan Canyon. She was a trooper and often took the boys up the canyon for the weekend by herself. She gave them many fun memories of camping, fishing, playing with fire and riding motorcycles.
She was a fun mother for young boys. She worked at Unique Printing on a “big, beautiful IBM typewriter”. She later married Al Anderson, moved to Heber City and typed the newspaper there.
After Al died, she married Mel Breault. She drove a semi-truck in some of the biggest cities in the country. After Mel died, Elsie married Fred Grant.
Fred took care of her as long as he was able to. Elsie really enjoyed her time at Quartzsite, Arizona. She purchased a Suzuki Omnichord and learned how to play it with the best of musicians.
Elsie’s singing voice was truly beautiful. She loved playing and singing at the jams held in Quartzsite. She also loved singing in the ward choir in Farr West, Utah.
She treasured the friendships she made in Quartzsite and Farr West. On November 4, 2018 Elsie was again greeted by her parents and all her siblings as she passed from this life to the next one. She is survived by her husband, Fred Grant, and three sons, Scott Hansen (Marlene), Larry Hansen and David Hansen (Marla).
She has 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thanks all of the staff at Beehive Homes of Syracuse and Davis Hospital as well as Doctor Stewart and Michelle Butler for their kind, loving care. Elsie loved “the girls” at the Beehive They were always kind and loving to Elsie.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7th, 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Stake Center at 1350 So. 1800 W. in Syracuse. After the service friends and family are invited to come together and share their thoughts about Elsie.
