Mrs. Elsie M. Dean, 86, of Hazel Green, Alabama, formerly of New Castle, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday. She was a wonderful mother and was dearly loved by her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles William Thompson, by her second husband, Robert P. Dean, and by her son, Scott Brian Thompson.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Julius and Agnes Zurasky, by her brother, Paul Zurasky, and by her sisters, Martha Reppart and Anne Cooley. Surviving family members include her sons, Micheal Thompson and Mark Thompson; Her grandchildren: John Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Tara Thompson Galarza, Laurelin Henderson, Andrew Chittum, and Kara Blanton; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Her brothers: Jim, Harry, Russ, and Richard Zarasky; Her sisters: Francis Sherry, Pat Diana, and Rebecca Zurasky. The family is planning a Celebration of Life in Indiana and will announce the arrangements.
