Elva’s Obituary Elva Louise Dorman Cash passed from her worldly life on January 29, 2019 at 92 years of age. She is survived by brothers, Carlton, Bill, Roger and Richard Dorman and sister Rebecca Davi. She died in the presence of family members at home in Georgetown.

Elva has been the family matriarch since the passing of her husband, Marvin Cash in 1992. Living family members include her five children, Gary Cash, Carolyn Wells, Jeffery Cash, Ellen Donovan and Beverly Mitchell; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Elva was born in Harbeson, Delaware on October 18, 1926 and spent most of her life in Sus County.

She graduated with a GED from James Grove High School in 1970. Elva worked in production at Arrow Safety Device in Georgetown for nearly 50 years. Services are to be held at Melson’s Funeral Home in Frankford, with a viewing starting at 1:30 PM and the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Interment will follow at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 25073 Bethesda Rd. , Georgetown, DE 19947, where Elva was a long-time member of the church and the Bethesda United Women’s Group.
