OBITUARY Emile Medine Jr. November 22, 1925 – October 26, 2018 Emile Joseph Medine, Jr. a native of Barton, Louisiana and resident of St. Amant, Louisiana passed away at his home in St. Amant at the age of 93 on Friday, October 26, 2018. He was a loving husband to his wife, soulmate and “number one gal”, Wilma Boudreaux of 71 beautiful years. Emile was one of five children.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and went on to open his own business, Medine’s Body Shop in 1965. The shop is still open for business today. He loved his life, family, community and was a strong dedicated member of the Catholic faith.
Emile Loved to fresh water fish for bass. He made his own baits and knew the spillway like the back of his hand. He planted a garden every year and shared his vegetables with everyone that was interested.
His attitude was always positive and was known for his smile which was very contagious. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parent’s Emile Medine and Delphine Carbo Medine; his wife Wilma Boudreaux Medine; Daughter, Janet Medine Bernadas; son in law, Maurice Dickens; Sisters Rita Bouquet and Mary Millet; Brother Heard Medine.
He is survived by three daughters Linda M. Medine, Debra Dickens, Kathey Tilghman and husband Charles Ray; two sons, Chris G. Medine and wife Dominica and Johnny Medine and Fiance’ April Hebert; brother in law, Evans Bernadas and wife Frances; brother, Antoine “Butch” Medine; eight grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Highway 621, Gonzales from 9:00am- 11:00am. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am.
The burial will immediately follow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Justin Griffin, Jeremy C. Bernadas, Danielle Brooks, Steve Medine, Jacob Medine and Jesse Medine and one honorary pallbearer, Jeremy L Bernadas. Thanks to all the family and friends for all their support and prayers during this time.
