OBITUARY Mary Helen Smith Looper March 28, 1929 – October 26, 2018 Mary Helen Smith Looper, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the age of 89. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life for God and her family. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her friends and loved ones.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Belinda DuBois and husband, Jimmy; son, Edwin Dwight Looper; grandchildren, Chris Cascio and wife, Allison, Tim Cascio and wife Gretchen, Lisa Stewart and husband, Michael, Ian Looper and wife Nadine, Nicholas Looper; 16 great-grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin Solomon Looper; parents, Nathan and Hazel Smith. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 9:30 am until funeral service at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Oaklane Memorial Park in Prairieville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Mary’s name to The Alzheimer’s Foundation ( alzfdn.org/support-us/donate ) . Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.
