Emilio Rios, Tato, passed away at Ebeid Hospice on May 1, 2018 after suffering a stroke at his home. Emilio was born on May 22, 1931 in Manor Texas to Ramon Rios and Concepcion Rios (Mendosa). Born Deaf, Emilio went the extra mile to communicate with the world.

He enjoyed his weekly shopping trips to the Meijer store and appreciated the kindness of the staff. He was thankful to his brother and Sister-in law, Henry and Arlene Rios, and niece Anita Rios for making those trips possible. He loved working around his home with the help of his great nephew Jeremy Gonzales, doing jigsaw puzzles, and fast food.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Rufus, Cirilo, Adela, Isabel Rios (Charlotte), Mary Louise (Loy) Ruiz (Timio), Lillie Dominguez (Raymond), and Martin Rios (Sara). Never married, he is survived by brothers Henry Rios (Arlene) and Jose Rios, sister Beatriz Rodriguez (Juan), and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may pay respects and celebrate Tio Tato’s life on Sunday May 27th from 5:30pm to 8pm at Reeb Funeral Home 5712 Main St. Sylvania, Ohio.
