Obituary for Emily C. Plawski Emily C. Plawski, age 99, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born October 31, 1919 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI; daughter of John and Emily (Hahn) Sarnowski. On June 24, 1939, Emily married Martin H. Plawski at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church – Heffron in the Town of Belmont, WI.

Together they shared 56 years of marriage before his passing on May 10, 1996. Emily was a homemaker and farm wife, and also waitressed at the Oakwood Supper Club for a number of years. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and was part of the ladies guild.

Emily was a terrific cook and loved to tend to her vegetable garden and colorful flower garden. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends. Emily is survived by her son, Robert (Wendy) Plawski of Medford, WI; two grandsons, Timothy (Lori) Plawski of St. Peters, MO and Daniel (Susan) Plawski of Sun Prairie, WI; a great-grandson, Andrew Plawski of St. Peters, MO; and a sister, Mamie Sarnowski of Waupaca, WI.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emily Sarnowski; her husband, Martin Plawski; and three siblings, Edward Sarnowski, Evelyn Minton, and Lucille Holly. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, N2845 Shadow Road, Waupaca, WI.

Father Peter Manickam will preside. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery following the mass on Thursday.
