SMITH, EMILY PARISH, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 6th, 2019. She was born on July 6th, 1922 in Clark County, Ohio the daughter of George W. and Sadie May (Sparrow) Parish. Emily graduated from Enon High School and spent much of her life working in the family business at Parish Coal & Feed.

More recently, Emily enjoyed volunteer work at Clark State Performing Arts Center and the Elderly United, now United Senior Services. She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Frederick C. Smith in 2004. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Jane Dean of Columbus; five grandchildren and their spouses: Christopher & Nannette Dean, Tara & John Downing, Jarrett & Tanya Dean, Brian & Kim Gray and Lori & John Barron; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Gray; two sisters, Pauline Lois Humphrey and Reva Mercer; eight brothers: George, John, Carl, Wayne, Chester, Donald, Eugene and Russell. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 13th from 1-2 p.m. at LITTLETON & RUE Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Mausoleum.
