Obituary for Emily Stefanik Emily (Kwolek) Stefanik, 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. Born March 11, 1918 to the late Joseph and Weronika (Szyndlar) Kwolek, she was a lifelong Chicopee resident. After graduating from Bay Path College, Business Management Program, Emily was employed as primary secretary to the partners of the Hitchcock & Company.

She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr, and a member of the Chicopee Falls Women’s Club. Emily was predeceased in 1969 by her beloved husband, General John J. Stefanik, and is survived by four loving children, Carol J. Stefanik and companion Michael Condon, of West Springfield, Patricia M. Stefanik, of Petrolia, CA, Virginia A. Marotte and husband Thomas A., of Springfield and Anthony J. Stefanik and wife Julie, of Nesbit, MS; three loving grandchildren, Adam J. Marotte and wife Angie, of Chicopee, Nicole Zuchara and husband Robert, of Springfield, and Stefanie Marotte, of Pelham; step grandchild, Rachel Holdren, of Nesbit, MS; and two cherished great grandchildren, Jade and Harper Zuchara. Funeral services for Emily will be held Saturday at 9AM from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-7PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Parish Ministry of Care, 566 Front St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
