Emma A. Diemert, nee Dickneite, 97, of Waterloo, Illinois, died June 22, 2018, in Waterloo, IL. She was born March 10, 1921, in Harrisonville, IL. She is survived by grandchildren Rick Diemert, Michelle (Sean) Cheatham, & Darla Stumpf; great grandchildren Connor Black, Mackenzie Stumpf, & Patrick Cheatham; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; step great great grandchildren; sisters Marie Yount, Eileen Goldschmidt, and Elsie Branson; brother George (Polly) Dickneite; sisters-in-law Gerry Dickneite and Frances Dickneite; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband Armin G. Diemert; son Kenneth V. (Mary) Diemert; granddaughter Elise Drasidio; parents Benard John & Elenora L. (nee Engel) Dickneite; sisters Rosemary Hergenroeder, Bernadine Heider, Dorothy Shoemaker, Leona Burkhardt, and Catherine Gilbert; brothers Ben Jr., Raymond, Sylvester, and David (in infancy) Dickneite. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church (worked at church 18 years), Gossard Company-Millstadt (21 years), quilter at church. As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Family Wishes Visitation: 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Quernheim Funeral Home Funeral Mass: 10 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at SS Peter & Paul Church in Waterloo, IL Father Osang Idagbo C.M. officiating Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
