Born on June 17, 1988, he was raised in Lovettsville, VA and graduated from Loudoun Valley High School. He played baseball on several All Star teams and 4 years of high school baseball.

He attended and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. He is survived by his loving parents Vincent Hugh and Kimberly Ann Santmyer and their granddaughter Mandy Schneider, Erik’s sister Kara June Santmyer, his brothers Vincent Hugh Santmyer Jr, Brian Douglas Santmyer, and Grandmother Mary June Tracey. Services will be held at Purcellville Baptist Church, 601 Yaxley Drive, Purcellville, VA at 2 PM on Friday, March 8, 2019.

A reception will follow and be announced at the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Every Orphan’s Hope, www. everyorphan.org.
