Erline’s Obituary Erline “Beana” Grandison Ross Steele entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 75. She was a native of Oakville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was a graduate of Scottville High School, where she excelled as an outstanding basketball player.

Erline was formerly employed with Dorothy Mintz, Belle Chasse State School, Burger King and Fuddruckers. Beloved wife of William Steele, Sr.. Devoted mother of Jeffery (Kirtrell) Ross, Wanda Ross, Lori Ross (Keith, Sr.) Webber, and Derrick Ross.

Stepmother of Dwayne Steele, Vanessa Steele, and Toni (Ricky) Holman. Loving grandmother of Tamare’al, Toi, Kennedi, and Kassadi Ross, Keith Webber, Jr., Derionne Calderon, and Dorian Henry. Daughter of the late Oliver and Hilda Jones Grandison.

Sister of Leola Williams, Eula Grandison (George) Lobrie, and the late Audrey Henderson, Leotha Davis, Ulysses and Robert Morgan, Sr. Sister-in-law of Eugene Davis, Alfreddie, Robert and Samuel Steel, Claudia Colston, and Maxine Tucker. Godmother of Juanita Smith, Carlene Sanders and Deneisha Hill. Dear friend of Dorothy Mintz, Diane Stewman and Dianne Fennidy.

Erline is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Oakville Missionary Baptist Church, First Community Antioch Baptist Church of Lutcher, LA The Church Without Walls of Houston, TX and all neighboring churches; employees of Boomtown Casino, Cox Communications, Prairie View A&M University, Touro Infirmary Hospital, Texas Roadhouse, and Ochsner Medical Center (Lapalco) are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 817 Grefer St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. unitl service time at the church.
