Bennettsville, SC Ernest “Ernie” Mitchell Stevenson, 60, passed away December 24, 2018 in Prosperity, SC after a brief illness. Born August 31, 2018 in Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late Arthur Dennis & Patricia Dayton Stevenson, Sr He was a graduate of the Bennettsville High School Class of 1978.

Ernie was employed by Pioneer Foods and was formerly an assistant manager with Pizza Hut in Bennettsville, SC several years ago. He also raised Chinese Pugs. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Lynne Stevenson of Bennettsville; son, Larry Michael Ivey, Jr “Michelle” of Morgan City, LA; granddaughter, Breanna Goodman of Morgan City, LA; special friend, Ann Sanderlin; adopted children, Emily Sanderlin & Clay Sanderlin; adopted grandson, Ross Sanderlin; and a host of aunt, uncles, & cousins.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: The Humane Society of Marlboro County, P.O. Box 135, Bennettsville, SC 29512; or Scotland County Humane Society, 1401 West Blvd. Laurinburg, NC, 28352.
