Obituary for Ervin Eugene Monroe Jr. Print Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Maryland Chapel CME Church in Branch for Ervin E. Monroe, Jr., 71, who passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:38 P.M. at his home in Branch. Rev. Jessie C. Banks, Sr., Pastor of the Maryland Chapel CME Church will be officiating for the services.

Burial will be held in the Branch Cemetery. The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 7:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Maryland Chapel CME Church in Branch. Survivors include two daughters, Erica Eaglin and Austin Leopaul of Rayne, Caroline E. and husband, James Robert, Jr. of Branch; two step daughters, Reva Charlot and Roger Monroe of Branch, Rita and husband, Curtis Hawkins of Lake Charles; two step sons, Wilbert and wife, Anna Charlot of Branch, Melvin Charlot of Houston, TX; his father, Ervin E. Monroe, Sr.; five brothers, Freddie, Alfred and Percy Monroe all of Rayne, Hollen Craig Monroe of Houston, TX, Roger Monroe of Branch; one sister, Henrietta Washington of Duson; thirty grandchildren, fifty seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Monroe was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Wilturner Monroe; his companion, Reva Eaglin; one brother, Harvey Monroe; one sister, Gloria Monroe; great nephew, Aycen Washington.
