Center Ossipee, NH Ervin Scott White, 74 of Center Ossipee passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 with his family by his side. Ervin was born in Wolfeboro August 5th of 1944 to the late Mildred Smart and Ervin White Sr. His siblings include Doris Meserve, Tammy White, Cindy White, and John White. He was a beloved husband to his wife of 54 years; Sharon K. Hebert White, and was a father to his three children Rusty White, Wendy White, and Edward White.

He was also a loving Bumpa to his seven grandchildren, Curtis, Jed, Joleen, Rusty Jr., Raecene, Hayden, Natalie, and one great grandchild Qorah. He was also survived by aunts, uncle, nieces, and nephews. Ervin was predeceased by both of his parents, and his younger brother Charlie White.

During Ervin’s lifetime he worked part time for the Ossipee Police Department, was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Center Ossipee, and was a Mason of the Ossipee Valley Lodge #74. He had a love for driving truck and owned his own business with his wife; White Trucking; for 24 years where his oldest son Rusty White worked for them for 13 years. He treated all of his employees as if they were his own sons.

In the last three years of his lifetime he drove truck for H.O. Bouchard out of Hampden, Maine. One of Ervin’s most notable achievements was when he received a Hero Award in the year of 2003 from the United States Senate for risking his life, and driving his big truck with a loaded propane trailer that was on fire away from harm’s way at Wards Boat Shop. Ervin was a friend to most people that he met.

He always was ready to lend a helping hand and would go out of his way for a friend or family member in need. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met, most notably for his sense of humor and giving nature. Visiting hours will be at Lords Funeral Home in Center Ossipee, NH from 5pm to 8pm on October 13th.
