In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five brothers, George, Ronald, Donald, Williard, and Joseph Paul Hurst, two sisters, Wilma Willoughby and Sandra Watson.

Esta retired after 22 years from Brooke County Schools where she worked as a custodian. She was Christian by faith.
