OBITUARY Ethlyn Cawthon Banks September 19, 1925 – December 16, 2018 Ethlyn Cawthon Banks, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2018. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Vineville Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Oak View Cemetery in Canon, Georgia at 3:00 PM.

Dr. William Richard Kremer will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204. Mrs. Banks was born in Elbert County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mina Greenway Cawthon and William Arnold Cawthon and was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Banks, and a daughter, Beverly Banks Cowart.

She was a faithful member of Vineville Baptist Church where she was a choir member and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Banks was a member of the F.O.P. and the Peace Officer’s Auxiliary for over 36 years. She was retired from Penn Mutual as an administrator after 37 years of service and then enjoyed working at Chichester’s Baconsfield.

Mrs. Banks is survived by her son, Leverett A. Banks (Barbara); granddaughter, Ansleigh Banks; grandson, Banks Cowart (Niki); great-grandson, Levi Cowart; step-daughter, Carol Camille Gard (Bob); two step-granddaughters; 5 step-great-grandchildren; step-sister, Marilyn Leach.
