Mr. Thomas was born May 8, 1930 in Ironwood, Michigan to the late Percy and Elizabeth Swanstrom Thomas. Survivors are his wife Florence Niemi Thomas, sons Paul Thomas, Jim Thomas, daughter Debra Thomas, grandchildren Jackson Thomas, Aiden Thomas and Donovan Thomas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Parkinson Association of the Carolinas, 2101 Sardis Road North, Box 15, Charlotte, NC 28227.
