Gene W. Warner, age 61, of Annandale, died unexpectedly and peacefully at his home on Monday, February 4, 2019. A Gathering of Family of Friends will be held on from 12:00-1:30 p.m. with a Remembrance Service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.

Eugene William Warner was born February 14, 1957 to Wilbur and Irene (Schulte) Warner at the St. Cloud Hospital. Gene grew up near Annandale on the family’s resort, Warner’s Resort on Sugar lake. He attended school in Annandale where he graduated with the Class of 1975.

On April 9, 1983 Gene was united in marriage to Judy Ann Zeidler at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Gene and Judy lived in St. Cloud where he was a machine operator for DCI. In 1989, they moved to rural Annandale, where they operated a dairy farm along with their children.

Gene’s interests, hobbies, and greatest love centered around their farm. He loved farming, his John Deere tractors, talking about farming with other farmers, and would catch the occasional episode of The Incredible Dr. Pol on the Discovery Channel. In the rare times Gene wasn’t doing something farm related, he could be found fishing and hunting.

While Gene’s life was centered around farming, his family always came first, especially his grandchildren. Gene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy of Annandale; children, Liz (Brandon) Moeller of Annandale, Jason Warner of Maple Grove, and Ryan Warner of Annandale; 4 adoring grandchildren, Payton, Kyrie, Brynleigh, and Brantley; siblings, David (Anita) Warner of Foreston, Diane (Kris) Person of Clear Lake, Louise (John) Schutz of Watkins, Shirley Warner of Maple Lake, Alice (Curt) Denney of Annandale, and Charlotte (Virgil) Hall of St. Cloud; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Irene and brother, Roger.

Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
