Eugene Francis “Fritz” Ritter, of Camdenton Missouri passed away October 11, 2018 with a gorgeous full head of hair. The Centerville Iowa native was born on August 13, 1946. He ‘sort of’ graduated from Centerville High School, and ‘sort of ‘ attended various universities until leaving to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Fritz enjoyed a long and successful career as a residential and commercial real estate developer in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nashville Tennessee, and in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. He was the son of the late Martha Hurliman Ritter & Dr. E.F. Ritter of Centerville, Iowa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Ritter of Nashville, Tennessee.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenny Lowe & her husband Sam of Bowling Green. 2 grandchildren, Sam Lowe II & Lucy Lowe; sisters Martha Ritter of Willow Springs, Missouri & Mitzi Sansoni & her husband Frank of Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition, there are several nieces & nephews.

He will also be dearly missed & always celebrated by his large & loud Paul Family in Iowa City, Iowa. Fritz has never met a stranger, loved a good joke (but was horrible at telling one), could sweet talk an Eskimo into buying ice, and would never turn down an indulgent meal which usually lasted hours & involved dry martinis with a twist. He will be remembered by his big personality, infectious booming laugh, dazzling smile and that mischievous twinkle in his eye.

To honor Fritz’s wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Missouri College of Medicine, Gift of Body Program.
