OBITUARY Eugenia Schmid August 20, 1915 – July 17, 2018 Eugenia Schmid, 102, of Apex, formerly of Union, NJ, passed away, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Spring Arbor of Apex after a lovely full life. Eugenia was born August 20, 1915 in Newark, NJ to the late Marcella and Sam Sass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Schmid; son, Richard Schmid; sisters, Sophie Krill, Mildred Gonter and Alice Ozimek.

Eugenia is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Ericsson; three granddaughters, Donna Dziobak (Robert), Carra Castagnero (Steven) and Bonnie Kokal; and seven great grandchildren, Evan Dziobak, Jake Castagnero, Brian Dziobak, Mia Castagnero, Connor Castagnero, Blake Kokal and Beckett Kokal; niece, Joyce(Paul) and her children, Susan, Sandra and John Wolan. A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
