Eunice Mueller Verstuyft October 18, 1931 – January 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Eunice Mueller Verstuyft, of Von Ormy, passed away on January 16, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 87 years. She was born October 18, 1931 in La Coste to Emil Joseph Mueller and Helen Zinsmeyer Mueller. Eunice graduated from La Coste High School.
On April 3, 1956, she married Robert Darson Verstuyft at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Eunice and Robert owned and operated a farm in Southwest Bexar County. They made their home on the property and raised their children there.
Eunice enjoyed taking care of her family home and working alongside her husband on their farm. She was a member of the Belgian-American Club of Texas. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Helen and Danny Smith of Von Ormy, Mark and Robin Verstuyft of Von Ormy and Cindy and Harold Weiblen of Hondo; grandchildren, Kristi (Lance) Sollohub, Kyle Smith, Kelly Verstuyft, Austin Verstuyft, Casey Verstuyft, Katie Weiblen and Nathan Weiblen; great grandchildren, Kinzi, Truxton and Kolton Sollohub as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Helen Mueller; husband, Robert Verstuyft; son, Glenn Verstuyft; brother, Henry E. (Philomena) Mueller; sisters, Elizabeth (Dorsey Sr.) Krause and Lucille (Harry) Cunningham and granddaughter, Stacey Verstuyft. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste.
Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. Memorials may be made in Eunice’s memory to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
