Obituary for Eva Marie Burnett Eva Marie Burnett, 76, of San Mateo, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Community Hospice Bailey Family Care Center following an extended illness. She had been a resident of Palatka since the early 1950’s and moved to San Mateo in 1960. Marie had worked at Best Packers and Hudson Pulp and Paper and had been co-owner of Burnett Bros.

Garage with her husband, Eric Burnett. Since 1958, Marie had been happy raising her large family. She grew up with her kids, learning from them as they learned from her.

Her hobbies were raising kids, softball, sewing, art work, yard sales and babysitting everyone’s kids in the neighborhood. Eva said, “I had a great time with kids. They are special”.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marsell and Mary Mann, step-sons, James Bartola Williams and Benton Gordon Williams, grandsons, Keith Dwight Comer, Jr. and Jack R. Williams, Jr., great-grandsons, Keith Damien Comer, Ryan Appling, and step-great-grandson, Troy Mote and stillborn infant twins, Adrian and Adriana McLeod. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey G. Comer and Paula Jan McLeod, sons, Rex T. Carnley, James Edward Williams and Jack Raymond Williams, “the best son-in-law”, Larry Taylor, step-daughters, Nancy Conley and Reba Starling, step-son, Billy Williams, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Words from Marie, “At the time of my passing through life there will be a spell of peace come over you.
