Evelyn A. Jones, 81, of Lehighton, passed away Wednesday, November 21st at St. Luke’s Hospital-Lehighton. She was the wife of the late George Jones Jr. & the companion of the late Bruce LaMar Neff. Born in Ashfield, Pa.

on Tuesday July 20th, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Walter & Elsie (Weider) Kuntz. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a presser for the former Scotty’s Mills, Lehighton & Hofford Mills, Weissport. Evelyn attended services at The First Presbyterian Church of Lehighton.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, watching television game shows, cooking, & baking for friends & family. Surviving are 2 daughters, Debbie J. wife of Robert Christman of Jim Thorpe, Paula S. Christman of Lehighton a son, David W. Jones of Palmerton, 3 sisters, Elizabeth “Betty”, wife of Paul Borits of Lehighton, Mildred Dotter of Walnutport, Alice Diehl of Lehighton, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter,Valerie A. Jones on Oct.

27th of this year, a sister, Pearl Brown & 5 brothers, Paul, Ray, John, Thomas, & Robert. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences can be offered at www.
