Evelyn B. Mariotti 1931 – 2019 Unadilla Forks Evelyn B. Mariotti, 87, of Unadilla Forks, passed away on, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home, with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 21, 1931 in Waterville, NY, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Rievenburg) Gretchell and was educated in Waterville Schools. On November 29, 1949, Evelyn was united in marriage to Maurice J. Mariotti in Waterville, NY and shared a blessed union of 70 years.

She was employed in food services with Mount Markham Elementary School in Leonardsville, NY until her retirement in 1980. Evelyn was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed making quilts and dolls and distributing them throughout the community.

Surviving are her husband, Maurice; daughters, Susan (Bill) Edwards, Deerfield and Diana (Michael) Peo, West Winfield; grandchildren, Scott (Nancy) Ratcliffe, Shanna (Jordan) Spinella, Andrew (Stephanie) Peo, Colette (David) Griffith and Cole (Megan) Mariotti; great grandchildren, Alyson, Cameron, Marlo, Mae, Elliott and Abel; daughter-in-law, Cindy Mariotti; 5 sisters; 3 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Dale and Matthew Mariotti; granddaughter’s, Jennifer Peo and Nicole Mariotti and great grandson Greyson Mariotti. Evelyn’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the West Winfield, Bridgewater and Unadilla Forks communities for their care and compassion throughout the years.

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the spring in Unadilla Forks Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 365 West Main St., West Winfield.
