Evelyn’s Obituary Evelyn Florence Coye, 86, formerly of Scarborough, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the South Portland Nursing Home. She was born in Waltham, MA, the daughter of Edward J. and Amanda (Pelletier) Coye. Evelyn worked for IBM for twenty-five years in the service area, and later in her career in the project group.

She was a member of the camera club, and the Scarborough Senior Center. Evelyn was a UW volunteer/mentor, Samaritan volunteer, and a road scholar of intergenerational trips, taking her grandchildren. She enjoyed photography, traveling, crafting, and going to craft fairs with her sister, Marge.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael, her sisters, Marie and Louise, and her brother, Ted. Evelyn is survived by her children, Diane Dupont and husband, Michael of Hudson, MA; Cindy Boyt and husband, Andy of Old Orchard Beach; Barbara Roche and husband, Bob of Tynsboro, MA; Kelly McQueen and husband, Michael of Sanford; grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer, Brian, Patrick, Benjamin, David; great grandchildren, Zander, Gabriel, Emma, Aaliyah; sister and best friend, Margaret; several loving nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind Donna, Bob, and Alyssa Williamson, who were very special to her and brought her joy and companionship.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, February 15, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Evelyn’s name to: Alzheimer’s Association, 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
