Marie’s Obituary Marie J. (Faietta) Hammond, 77, of South Portland passed away on January 28, 2019 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough with her loving family by her side. Marie was born on February 16, 1941 in Portland, ME, the daughter of Joseph and Antoinette Faietta. She was a thirty-year employee of Maine Medical Center.

She loved riding up the coast with her long-time companion, Bob Grindel. One of her favorite things was going to Oxford Casino with her children. Marie is survived by her children, Bernard Hammond, Antoinette Herbert, Robert Hammond, Anthony Hammond, Milly Shannon and Joseph Hammond; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private burial in the spring.
