David’s Obituary David G. Frazier, 67 In the wee hours of Tuesday, March 12, 2019, our beloved son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather, David, died unexpectedly at his Pleasant Pond retirement home he loved so much, and where he found peace and comfort surrounded by God’s natural beauty. He was born in Portland, June 21, 1951, to his parents, Durward J. Frazier and Mary B. Frederick. Raised in Scarborough, he was a graduate of Scarborough High School, and further studied machine tool and dye at SMVTI.

David was his father’s righthand man when it came to working on the family farm/homestead once owned by David’s Great Grandparents, Adolph and Pauline Biker, in Scarborough, where they raised cows, pigs, chickens, and most notedly his stallion named “Wildfire” (which he tamed by riding bareback as an adolescent). As an adult he was gifted a baby pig named “Short Time” by his Jaycee softball team sponsored by Scarboro Signs. And of course, throughout his lifetime, he always enjoyed the love of his many furry friends, most recently the deceased “Milli”.

He proudly served on the Caratunk Planning Board. David had great passion for New England sport teams, particularly the GOAT, NE Patriots, NASCAR, and antique vehicles. He spent many hours playing pool and cribbage for which he was usually the victor.

His interests consisted of playing golf and watching Barrett Jackson. In his youth he often hunted with his Dad and continued that tradition during his lifetime. David and Jane were afforded the opportunity to travel to foreign lands with great friends.

Savannah, Charleston, Kentucky, and Nashville, Tennessee were a few of the road trips they ventured to. Positions held by David consisted mostly as a truckdriver and performing property maintenance. During his employment at Seaside Nursing Home, he was honored with the “Employee of the Year” award for his performance in the maintenance department.

Employed by GID as a caretaker on an estate, he was considered a valued and dedicated employee who was deeply respected. Lastly, in his seasonal, part time position as bus driver at the “Home of Serious Fun” he was able to form friendships with his fellow workers at Three Rivers Whitewater Rafting, and the Inn by the River in The Forks, Maine. David will be remembered as a devoted and treasured friend to all who knew him, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

David’s last request to all was to spend more time with family, take a peaceful walk, enjoy the splendor of nature, and to make “a toast” to enduring friendships – lifelong and beyond. David was predeceased by his Dad, Durward Jerome Frazier. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane; his Mom, Mary B. Frederick; his son, Scott D. Frazier (Krista); his beloved grandchildren, granddaughter, Lindsay Shay, and grandson, Kyle David; brothers, Douglas (Kellie), Stephen (Brenda), Ronald (Teresa); sister, Susan Murphy (Glenn); and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved and adored.

Funeral services officiated by Monsignor Paul Stefanko are scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 US Route 1, Scarborough, Maine. Services will be followed by a luncheon at the funeral home location. Burial in May at Scarborough Memorial Cemetery.
