Evelyn Huff (Dennisson), age 99, of Wadworth, Ohio passed away peacefully December 7, 2018. She was born March 19, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to Roy and Josephine Dennisson. Evelyn was one of five children.

She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Evelyn married Walter Ray Huff and they had seven children. Evelyn lost her husband at a young age and went on to raise their seven children on her own.

She was always a hard worker, starting as a Rosie Riveter during World War II. After her husband’s death she worked as a custodian for the Wadsworth School System. After retiring she began babysitting for her grandchildren, which eventually led to full-time babysitting for many local Wadsworth children.

Every child she babysat was special to her and she would recollect stories about her babysitting adventures throughout the rest of her life. Family was everything to Evelyn, including the many she considered family. She committed her life to her children and grandchildren.

When her children were young, many of their friends called her house their second home, and many of them were still checking on her and visiting her regularly. Evelyn loved baseball, and the Indians were her favorite. She had a funny sense of humor, lived life to the fullest and was always ready for fun.

She enjoyed the Wadsworth parade and carnivals. Evelyn enjoyed traveling and attended countless concerts and musicals. But her greatest joy was trips with her grandchildren to Sea World and Disneyland.

Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Josephine Dennisson; brothers, Robert and Raymond Dennisson; sisters, Eilene (Ted) Kennedy and Patty (Les) Kennow; her husband, Walter Ray Huff; daughter, Ellen Rae Bubalo; and sons, Jimmy and Dennis Huff.
