Obituary for Evelyn Johnson Evelyn Johnson of Laurel, MS passed peacefully to her heavenly home at the age of 93 on December 25th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at home. She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Sheffield (the late Robert) and Freida Fry (David); one son, Wayne Johnson (Marie); 12 grandchildren, Faith, Paul (Traci), Elizabeth (Jason), Cassandra, Amber (Jason), Amanda, Michelle (David), Tiffiney, Zack, Hilary (Tyler), Kristen (Nick), and Bailey (JJ); 24 great grandchildren, Molly (Jon), Caleb, Katie, Bryan, Baz, Stella, Amberleigh, Emmaleigh, Kimberleigh, Samuel, Noah, Jaylen, Gabbi, Ashlyn, Darren, Ethan, Kuper, Aubrey, Piper, Kayleigh, Kyleigh, Kynsleigh, Cain, and James; and one great great grandchild, Mya. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Gerald Johnson; one son, James Johnson; one grandson, Seth Johnson; and one great grandson, John Holland.

Visitation will be at Memory Chapel on Wednesday, January 2nd, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Thursday, January 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Andy Stringfellow and Bro. Kenny Morris will be officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Sunset Gardens, which will be her final resting place. Pallbearers will be Paul Scheffield, Jason Sullivan, Zachary Johnson, Doug Bush, Samuel Bush, and Randy Windham. To sign the online guest book, visit www.
