Evelyn “Evie” Oelke, age 84, of Redgranite, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Preston Place in Redgranite. She was born at home in rural Neshkoro on January 24, 1934, a daughter of Edward and Lydia (Kentzel) Oelke. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her many friends at Waushara Industries where she had worked for more than 40 years.

Evie also enjoyed traveling to Arizona and other states with her friend and caregiver, Mary Lou. Evelyn is survived by her sister, Laverne Drover of Neshkoro; special caregiver, Mary Lou Getter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lydia Oelke; 3 brothers, Ewald, Hilbert and Paul Oelke.

A funeral service for Evelyn Oelke will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Pastor Franklin Giebel will officiate. Evelyn will be laid to rest following the service in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro.
