The life of Everlena Holloway (Muh) began July 14, 1923, in Memphis, TN. She was the youngest of two children born to Leanna Bond and Curtis Newsom. Preceding her in death sister, Carrie Winters and special brother Leroy Anderson.

On June 16, 2018, Everlena was called home to meet God in the heavens as He whispered, “servant well done”. Everlena Holloway was a homemaker and went to Douglass High School in her former years. She later joined Christian Unity Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend William Edwards where she remained a faithful member until her death. In 1939 Everlena married the love of her life Jessie Holloway Sr, who preceded her in death. To this union, thirteen children were born with 3 children, Albert, Jessie Jr. and Larcenia Shaw who all preceded her in death.

Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory seven sons, Leroy Holloway (Ola), Alfred Holloway, James Sr. (Gwendolyn) Holloway, Jimmy Holloway, Willie Holloway, Michael (Anita) Holloway and Gerald Holloway, two daughters Evelyn Hayes and Velma (Tommy) Hayes and a granddaughter she raised Valerie (John) Dobbins, twenty-six grandchildren and four that preceded her in death. Also left to cherish her memory a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family who loved her.
