F. Martin (Marty) Greene, age 81, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born May 25, 1937 to Edward M. and Emilie M. (Martin) Greene in Muskegon, MI; and he married Barbara A. Bolles February 17, 1973. Marty moved to Spring Lake from Albion in December 1978.

He was a 1960 graduate of Michigan State University. Marty was a senior design supervisor for Rapistan, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he was a lay minister and was involved in many other church activities.

He was a life member of the MSU Alumni Association, former member of the Knights of Columbus, the Muskegon Eagles, the National Management Association, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Marty was an MSU football season ticket holder for 50 years and an avid Spartan fan. He liked working in his yard and building model railroads.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, David (Amy) Greene of Fort Smith AR; two grandchildren: Elizabeth, and Gabriel Greene; sisters-in-law: Lois Greene, Mary (Richard) Gargett, and Evelyn Bolles; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Greene; brother-in-law, Darwin Bolles. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev.
