Obituary for Fay Ellen Elizabeth Babb Mrs. Fay Babb Fay Ellen Elizabeth Denton was born to Louia Fletcher “Bud” and Callie Denton on Thursday, March 10, 1927. She lived a life of service to God, family, her church family, and the ministry she shared with her beloved husband of 62 years, Rev. Clyde Babb.

She was at home, surrounded by her loving family, as she peacefully transitioned on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was a member of the Robards United Methodist Church and of Eastern Star. Her legacy and love included her 3 children; son, Calvin Babb and his wife, Needie, 2 daughters, Anna Joyce Babb and Callie Carroll and her husband, Ed, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived and treasured by two sisters, Nellie Hall and Grace DeMouy, several nieces and nephews, and a host of church family and dear friends. Proverbs 31:25-29: She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Relatives and friends are invited to Fay’s Life Celebration on Saturday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Rick Nollmann officiating.

Entombment will follow in Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Rev. Clyde and Fay Ellen Babb Memorial Scholarship at Kentucky Wesleyan College, KWC 3000 Frederica Street Owensboro, KY 42301.
