Firmer James King January 17, 1932 – March 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Firmer James King, 87, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Memorial Hospital. He was born January 17, 1932 in Vandalia, MI to the late Theo and Lucille King. On November 23, 1951, he married Wilma Jean Richardson in Buchanan, MI.

Firmer participated in several athletic activities and was also a member of the FFA while attending Cassopolis Schools in Cassopolis, MI. He later served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Electro-Voice, and retired from Clark Equipment, and Bendix.

Firmer is survived by his son, Scott King; two grandchildren, Heather King, and Anthony Scott King. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; parents, Theo and Lucille; son, Michael Firmer King; one brother, and three sisters. Cremation has taken place.

Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Online condolences may be made at www.
