Obituary for Florence Seeburger (Keir) Florence Seeburger, 93, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on February 9, 2018 after being surrounded by her loving family. Born in Toledo, Ohio on November 19, 1924 to Herbert and Beatrice (Wood) Keir, Florence attended Devilbiss High School. Florence was employed at Tillitson Carburetor during World War II.

Florence married the love of her life, Gilbert, her husband of 73 years on October 27, 1941. She then became a homemaker enjoying raising her three children. Florence was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church and currently was a member of Hope United Methodist Church.

Florence was a volunteer with Lott Industries and along with her late husband received the ARCH and SPIRIT awards for their volunteer efforts at Lott Industries and The Arc of Lucas County. Florence was instrumental in working with Josina Lott to develop Lott Industries. Florence was a supporter of Good Bears of the World.

Florence and her late husband enjoyed many vacations & cruises visiting various parts of the world in their retirement. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gilbert C. Seeburger in 2013, and her sister Pearl Hershman. Surviving are her daughters Bonnie L. (Dennis) Lutjens of Florida, Darlene B. Seeburger, and son Gilbert C. (Diane) Seeburger Jr., of Toledo.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren which she derived great pride in watching them and seeing them grow. Florence also raised 2 nephews, the late Sam Bent and Hugh Bent of Florida whose extended family also considered Florence “Grandma”. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Peace at 10:30 am in the Toledo Memorial Park cemetery on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
