Obituary for Priscilla Schlingman (Bower) Priscilla J. Schlingman, 91, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 15, 2018. Pricilla was born in Toledo Ohio on March 7, 1927 to Clement and Nettie (Henke) Bower. She married Robert H. Schlingman on June 15, 1951.

After working as an executive secretary in the Toledo area for many years, she retired as the secretary of Waterville United Methodist Church. Priscilla was a long-time member of Waterville United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Church Women, a past member of the Toledo Tennis Club, the Toledo Badminton Club, and was a free-lance writer having had fiction and humor published in national magazines. She enjoyed painting and being with family and friends.

Preceding Priscilla in death were her parents, her loving husband Robert, and her sister Barbara Merrill. Left behind to cherish her memory are sons Robert (Barbara) Schlingman, and Mark H. (Barbara LeGros) Schlingman, grandchildren Robert Schlingman, Adam Schlingman, Lejla Schlingman, Cassie Schlingman, Elizabeth Schlingman, Alice Schlingman, Joseph Schlingman, and great grandson Aiden Schlingman. A memorial service will be held on June 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Waterville United Methodist Church, 102 N 5th St, Waterville, Ohio.

Interment in Highland Memory Gardens will be private. The family as that memorials be made to the church, the Salvation Army, the Cherry Street Mission, or a charity of the donor’s choice. The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Schlingman family in their time of need.
