On Sunday morning, July 8, 2018 Betty E (Littlefield) Vernier went home to be with her Lord & Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. She was born to Ralph and Emily Littlefield on January 19, 1922, the 3rd of 4 girls. Sisters June, Kathryn, and Phyllis all predeceased her.

She was graduated from Scott High School class of 1940 and married her loving sweetheart, Harold Vernier, on February 22, 1941. She devoted her life to caring for & raising her children and being involved in various ministries to women.

She was an active member of Christian Fellowship of Toledo, where she always lent a helping hand to help with meals, wedding & baby showers, prayer services, the baby nursery, and whatever task was needed. She taught us hospitality as she & Dad opened our home to host visiting church speakers and missionaries, as well as a weekly small group prayer meeting that spanned 15 years. She ministered to the community through the church young people’s group and Pioneer Girls program, as well as Child Evangelism Fellowship & Good News Clubs, Friendship Bible Coffees, Christian Business & Professional Women, Changed Life Seminar, and Bible Study Fellowship.

She also worked part time for Surgical Partners, Inc. until 1997. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Joyce, of Sylvania, OH and son, Jim (wife, Gari) of Columbia, TN, 6 grandchildren: Audri (Ben) Botkin, Charles (Hannah), Ellen, Natasha (Josiah) Courter, Joel, and Justice (Maggie), and 6 great grandchildren, with another due in October, 2018. Private interment was held in Stryker, OH.

A memorial service will be held at the Christian Fellowship Church, 6711 Pilliod Road, Holland, OH, at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Christian Missions in Many Lands at PO. Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ 07762, Christian Fellowship Church, or Hospice of NW Ohio.
