Chester Wyraz of Perrysburg passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 6, 1932 to Walter and Helen (Sojda) Wyraz. Chester graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1949.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Toledo. He worked as a civil engineer at the Ohio Department of Transportation in Bowling Green for 34 years. He was a professional engineer and a surveyor.

Chester served in the army in the occupation forces in Berlin, Germany from 1954 – 1956. He was a member of St Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. He enjoyed remodeling, working with wood, playing Euchre and Sudoku.

He married Elizabeth Zydorczyk on May 25, 1957. She preceeded him in death on December 21, 2007. Chester is survived by his children: Gregory (Linda) Wyraz, Douglas (Dawn) Wyraz, Karen (Gary) Warne, Sharon (Tom) Hersch; and grandchildren: Matthew (Danielle), Amanda (Aaron), Chartier, Madison, Jessica, Dennis, Rachel, Kaitlynn, Nicolette, Bethany, and Jannelle.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m., with Scripture Services at 7 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg at 10:30 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, OH.
