Mrs. Florence Wells Thigpen Birmingham – Mrs. Florence Wells Thigpen, 76, entered into rest Saturday, June 09, 2018 in St. Vincent’s East. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Sterling Wells and Mrs. Mary Smith Wells. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in Westview Cemetery with Rev.

Mark Bowers officiating. Mrs. Thigpen was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia, but had lived in Birmingham for many years. She was a daycare worker and a Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Thigpen is survived by two sons, Kerry Thigpen and Randy Thigpen (Charlene Molson), both of Vincent, Alabama; a granddaughter, Brooke Thigpen, Vincent, Alabama; and a host of sisters and brothers. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
