Kernersville – Mr. Floyd Edward Smith, 93, passed away, Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home. He was born April 24, 1925 to the late Isaac Seldon and Bessie Marie Weaser Smith. Mr. Smith was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was a WWII Vet and retired from the Datona Beach Florida Fire Department after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Marie Grasso Smith, and his grandson, Matthew Phillips. He is survived by, three daughters; Louise Dudas (Thomas), Deborah Phillips (Stephen), and Linda Holcomb (Bobby), seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

A service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Daytona Memorial Park in Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff of Trellis Supportive Care.
