Obituary for Floyd G. “The Breez” Casey Jr. Floyd G. Casey, Jr. aka “The Breez”, entered eternal life with his heavenly father on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at West Jefferson Health Care Center at the early age of 66. Honored and Beloved father of Zachary Aaron Casey, and Wende R. Casey who will carry on his happiness and spirit of giving. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd G. Casey, Sr. and survived by his mother, Ethel Ledet Casey.

Beloved grandfather of Griffen Gaudet and former husband of Tyra P. Casey and Gayle Stith. We feel a collective sense of loss for the 25 years he served as a Gretna Police Sergeant, Clerk of Court Officer and lifeguard at Melott Park. We recall his bravery, committment and sacrifice in keeping our community and neighbors safe.

Breez loved music, “played drums”, racing “Jeff Gorden” and of course, our “Who Dats”. Forever grateful for your time with us. Rest in peace, Breez.

Relatives and friends of the family, also the Gretna and Jefferson Parish Police Departments are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy. , Harvey, LA on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
