Floyd “Ronnie” Kemp was born on July 29, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Oliver and Victoria Kemp. He departed this life January 29, 2019 at home with his wife Stacie at his side. Floyd moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana as a teen with his father and inherited a new mom, Willie “Billie” Mae Kemp and twin sisters, Vicki and Vernita.

After graduating from Central High School in 1961, Floyd enlisted in the United States Navy. He trained along with the Navy special services in Virginia, and was deployed during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his service in the Navy, Floyd returned to Virginia for a period of time, then returned to Fort Wayne.

His employment career began at Indiana & Michigan Power (AEP) and lasted for over 30 years. As a car salesman, he took pride in selling 40 cars in 30 days. Educationally, he earned associate degrees in Business Administration and Industrial Management.

His hobbies included bowling, traveling to casino’s, and playing spades. He attended Union Baptist Church early in life, followed by Calvary Chapel, then joined New Covenant Worship Center in 2016 where he was a faithful member until his death. Floyd leaves to cherish his memory his wife Stacie; son Ondrayco Greene (Lisa), three children in Virginia Theresa, Pauline and Donald Kemp; sisters, Vicki Timberlake of Fort Wayne, and Dr. Vernita Tucker of Nashville, Tennessee, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years Marlena, his parents and two brothers, Oliver W, and Paul A. Kemp.
