Obituary for Frances Hartsell (Blackwell) Mrs. Frances Blackwell Hartsell went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, December 23, 2018. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Kevin Lee Hartsell, Rev. Jeff Upright, and Dr. Zachary Sizemore.
Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Frances was born November 25, 1933 in Concord to the late Earnest Blackwell and Mary Catherine Measmer Blackwell.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Howard Lee Hartsell, and by twelve brothers and sisters. Frances was a graduate of Hartsell School. She worked for Kiser Roth Hosiery for 42 years and later for 15 years for Shogren Hosiery until her retirement.
Frances was a member of Sanctuary Church where she served well until her illness. She was an exceptional mother to her sons and was a loving and caring person to her family and friends. Frances is survived by her sons, Dr. Kevin Lee Hartsell and wife Shelia, and Mark Shawn Hartsell and wife Pam, all of Concord; grandchildren, Wesley Shawn Hartsell and Mary Kathryn Hartsell; great grandchildren, Patrick, Maddax, and Bella Hartsell; sister, Peggy Blackwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
