DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Frances Irene Pennington Frances Irene Pennington, 89, of Shelby, NC, passed away on May 31, 2018 at Cleveland House in Shelby, NC. She was born in Cherokee County, SC. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thaniel Roy Pennington, her sons, Roy Evan, Arnold Ray, Jerry Lee and Kenneth Dean Pennington as well as her daughter Claudia Annette Norwood.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings. Frances led a Christian life and enjoyed being a caretaker of many children. She loved to stay busy, even helping clean around her home, Cleveland House.

She has left her family with many fond memories and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
