Frances Jean Stever, 81 of St. Louis, MO. formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born March 23, 1937 in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of Faye Elijah and Marie Matilda (VanDree) Ewers.

Frances was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Valparaiso. On December 19, 1956 in Ludington, Michigan, she married Jerry Lyle Stever, who preceded her in death June 16, 2008. Surviving are her children, Jean (Ken) Bolton of St. John, MO, Charles (Robin) Stever of Ellisville, MO, Todd Stever of Valparaiso, Jeff Stever of St. John, MO and Joyce (Erik) Rodin of Monticello, IN, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a sister, Emily Alman of Allegan, MI.

Her parents, her husband and a daughter Marie Schultz preceded her in death. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso, IN. Pastor Jim Patten officiating.
