Frances Kay Mason, 68, of Bradford, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home. She was born July 11, 1950 in Bald Knob a daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Ann (Mitchell) Johnston. Kay was a member of the Velvet Ridge and Crossroads Church of Christ congregations.

She enjoyed playing music on her autoharp and antique shopping but more than anything, she loved her family. She enjoyed participating in her children and granchildren’s activities and found great pleasure in attending their ball games. She is survived by her husband, Hershel Mason; children, Brett Hershel Mason (Lynnda), Karmen Hershel Mason (Kristen), Jason Hershel Mason (LaDonna), Lee Hershel Mason (Stacey) and Amanda Kay Roberts (Michael); brother, Jessie Johnston; grandchildren, Ethan Mason, Spencer Mason, Caleb Mason (Kyndl), Riley Mason, Jasie Mason, Brooke Mason, Taegen Mason, Kase Mason, Barrett Mason (Cheyenne), Eli Roberts, Adrian Roberts and Tyler Roberts; great-grandchildren, Addlynn Mason and Kenzlee Mason; 2 very special friends, Freddy Varnell and Phyllis Lance and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Johnston Wheeler and Martha Johnston Long. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Velvet Ridge Church of Christ.

Interment will follow in the Velvet Ridge Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia. www. powellfuneralhome.net.
