Memorial services for Frances Nell (Carver) Walker, 82, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Mark Youngblood officiating. Mrs. Walker was born January 29, 1936 in Crossett, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Bill Lavell Carver and Grady Inez (Temple) Carver, and died Friday, June 22, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Walker enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and raising plants and flowers.

She also loved photography. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Louis Torres of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Larry and Rhonda Torres of Weatherford, TX; grandson and wife, Terry and April Torres of Lufkin; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cole of Huntington; great-grandson, Ty Torres of Weatherford, TX; great-granddaughter, Kaylie Cole of Huntington; great-granddaughter, Madison Torres of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Harley Cole of Huntington; brother, Tommy Carver; sister, Sue Linton; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Bob Mayfield; brother and sister-in-law, John Paul and Mary Carver; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Gregg; brothers, Bill Lavell Carver, Richard Carver, Robert Carver, and B.L. Carver; sisters, Juanita Youngblood and Earlene Mullan; and ex-husband, Frank Walker.

Specials memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30329. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
