Obituary for Frances P. Baird Frances P. Baird, age 80, of Bedford Township, MI, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Laurels of Galesburg in Galesburg, MI. She was born October 9, 1938 in Mannsville, KY the daughter of Arlis Albert Cox and Ada May (Garett) Cox. She had been a homemaker and wife all of her life.

She is survived by two sons: Lauran Lind Baird of Battle Creek, MI; Gary and April Helm of Saline, MI; eleven grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Brian (1982), husband: Thomas L. Baird (1987), two sisters: Audrey Cox and Hilda Cox, and her brother: Gerald Cox; daughter-in-law: Lesa Baird died in 2013. She was a member of Pennfield Presbyterian Church and Lady Lions Club.

She loved cooking, both vegetable and flower gardening, when she was younger she sewed clothes for her children. Making slate babies (where they would take a piece of slate and draw a baby’s face on the slate and playing with them) down by the creek in Mannsville, Kentucky. She loved sneaking her pet cat “Tom” into the house, against her mother’s rules.

A gathering and remembering of Frances will be on Thursday, February, 7, 2019, starting at 11:00 AM until 12 noon at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Entombment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to: Bedford Lions Club.
